Grand Caverns | Grottoes, VA

Grand Caverns was a really neat experience I had on my trip to Virginia this summer.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it turned out to be really cool-literally!
Caverns stay at a constant temperature year round, which is determined by the average temperature of the whole year of the location.(i.e. this cavern stayed about 54 degrees)
God's creativity and evidences of the Flood were all around, so enjoy an inside look!
This isn't the most exciting photo post, but the textures are really interesting.

This looks upside down, but the top is actually the ceiling.
Look at the reflection of the ceiling in the pool in the next photo.

This is looking straight into the water....supposedly it looks like the NYC skyline

They had colored lights that made this the "Rainbow room"

With the "bridge" across the middle of the photo, the part below it looks like it goes underneath.
Actually, it is another reflection!

The oils from humans touching this made it "shrivel" and stop growing.
I think it looks kinda scary!

Signatures on the rock date back to the Civil War!
