A Month of Blogging-14/22-Giveaway Winner+More Friday Funnies!

I'm sitting here, shocked, that on the 18th of October big, fluffy flakes of SNOW are currently drifting down! I know KS weather is crazy, (if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes, and it's liable to change!) but this is unprecedented!
Currently, our entire yard is covered!
It is so beautiful, and makes me really want to cuddle up with a good book and a hot drink!

I was very encouraged by each of the comments with your favorite classic book.
I felt as though I had tasted of each story, because you all had fabulous book synopsis'!

In keeping with the book theme, I thought I would share one of my favorite classics  which is fairly unknown, entitled "Nineteen Beautiful Years or Sketches of a Girl's Life" by Francis E. Willard.
I actually read it last summer, when I was nineteen, and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It reminded me of Elizabeth Prentiss' book, "Stepping Heavenward".
The author has a fresh, youthful perspective on Christianity, and describes life quite beautifully.
It was originally published in the 1880's, and the copy that I used was very delicate.

Now to the exciting news you all have been waiting for!
GIVEAWAY WINNER!
(and for those who didn't get their comment in, or didn't want to participate this time, there will be another opportunity coming soon, so stay tuned!)
Thanks for being brave and joining me!

Katie----email me, and let me know which book is your favorite!
(P&P, R&J or J. Eyre)

Also, for those who were having issues commenting, the word verification has been removed, and even if you don't have a blogger account, you should still be able to comment as annonymous.

This is a bit of a variety post, so for those who didn't win, you can console yourself with the funnies below.
Try not to take your loss to hard.......There's always next time!

My self-control while reading a tantalizing book is non-existent.

 Roll 'em up!

Why go on a Mall trip when you can go on an thrifting adventure?

This happens way too often.

Yawn!

Or I go to dictionary.com and listen to them
so I know how they really sound!

73 mph, 74, 75, I gotta get past this guy.
